Going to the Chapel: Great Wedding Ideas

wedding barn
Okay, obviously I am way past the "here's a batch of creative ideas we want to do at our wedding" phase, but I sure do have weddings on the mind.

We went to a wedding at a barn on a farm this weekend. And it was beautiful ... a sublime setting nestled at the foot of the mountain. We are going to another wedding soon at a golf club (circa 1919) in Seattle. Another dreamy setting.

We've also marked our calendar for a Very Important Wedding next August in Collierville, Tenn. Which is extra special, because my niece will be getting married in the very same church where she was a flower girl for Jake and me not so long ago. So, fun wedding ideas abound. So much so that I've started a little board on Pinterest. Add your fun ideas, pretty please! Already I've found lots of great wedding (and gift) ideas that translate to just about any event you're hosting.

The pictures above were taken at the wedding this past weekend, which I posted on Instagram. If you don't have an Instagram account, get one this minute (and follow me at "amymac72"!) It's a very fun way to edit & share pictures you take with your phone.

Now, do tell: what's your favorite memory from your wedding (or from a wedding you attended, or heard about ... maybe a story from your mom & dad's or grandparents' wedding?)

Oh how I love today's wedding photography! Makes me want to get me and hubby back into our wedding attire and take updated photos!

My favorite wedding moment was when the bill came to pay, my debit card wouldn't go through. We couldn't pay for our wedding. The money was there, but at the time, we didn't know there was a $500 spending limit.

A guest gave us his credit card and paid for our wedding! To this day I associate Mr. Martin as the guy who saved the day and paid for our wedding.
