I Hereby Declare Myself Queen of the To-Do List

May 2010 Giveaway
I work from a to-do list every single day. Failing to do so would result, as previously stated, in me sitting on my couch eating potato chips all day with nary a care in the world. Well, I’d have a care, but I wouldn’t be able to remember it – so, problem solved.

I have a written weekly to-do list; an ongoing, categorized to-do list on my computer; and a to-do list on my Blackberry. Those lists are updated often and are under control.

What’s not under control, generally speaking, are the other little scraps of paper scattered around my house like ashes at a camp fire. These pieces of paper hold reminders, plans to make, and pieces and parts of ideas that if gathered all together in one spot might create an act of genius that could change the world. Or at the very least create a workable plan for getting us out the door on time for swim team every morning.

Well, the time may be upon us, thanks to this very cool little product called Happeez clippers. You can attach these very cute clips in places that magnets won’t work … like your stainless steel fridge, your front door so you can leave a note for the FedEx delivery guy, or to the mirror in your bathroom (like I’ve done here, as I continue to maintain all acts of genius take place in the moments you are least likely to have a way to capture the thought. Like in the bathroom.)

Anywho, the nice folks at Happeez are hosting a little giveaway of a few of their products right here on the Amy Mac Blog! Yay, you! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and you’ll be entered. Extra credit for you if you sign up for email reminders. Extra, extra credit if you post this to your Facebook or Twitter accounts and send me a note. Super-extra credit if you send this to your friends via email and copy me .

That’s it – school’s out, no more extra credit – be sure to leave your comment by June 1, which is when I will engage an international accounting firm to determine the winner, just like at the Oscars. Not really, I usually just tell my kids to pick a number between 1 and whatever. So let’s give them a lot to choose from, okay?

XO- Amy Mac

PS- Are you following me on Twitter and a friend of Amy Mac on Facebook? Humor me and follow or become a fan today. Oh, fine, I'll give you extra credit for that, too, but that's IT!

I love the clips! I also make a list everyday, just forget to look at it some days! I have resorted to an office-size desk calendar which adds to the clutter on my kitchen counter :) btw, I follow you on fb (is that extra credit?)

Due to the nature of my endlessly scattered brain - (some call that creativity), I have developed a system that works for me in effort to keep my 30 seperate TO DO lists organized. I bought a planner and took everything out of it. I put two pads of paper in it and post it notes. It is now my list book. It houses everything from my grocery list to my bucket list. I always keep it around, because there is always a need for yet ANOTHER list!

My family picks on me for two main things: my label maker and my lists!

Think along the lines of, "If you give a Pig a Pancake".....

There once was a girl who had the cutest clips on her stainless steel fridge, so she made a list to hang hang on it. The list had her running errands all over town, carting kids to and fro, and the list never seemed to end. At night, when she had finished everything on the list, she decided to raid fridge for a treat (after the kids had gone to bed)...she admired her too cute clips...and you know what happened....if you have too cute clips hanging on your fridge....you need a list to go with them.

I use a web based calendar and TO DO list. That way I can check it from my phone and my computer. I keep it with me and handy! Okay, true confession: Sometimes I ignore the list because it tells me to do things I do NOT want TO DO!
