Remember Alamo Salsa-1

Everyone has a favorite snack. You know, the one that makes your mouth water and calls your name if it’s in your pantry or fridge. One of my favorite snacks is salsa and chips. More specifically, Remember Alamo Salsa – which is home made by my friend and neighbor Jane. Jane hails from Texas, and I tell ya, those folks know how to whip up some tasty salsa. Combined with Hint of Lime Tostitos, Remember Alamo Salsa makes me happy.

Another favorite is Cambozola cheese with roasted garlic on baguette. All you do is cut off the top of a head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, wrap in foil and bake at 400 degrees for about an hour. Cut the baguette into slices, toast, and then spread the roasted garlic and Cambozola on top. Mmm-mmm.

What’s your favorite snack? Leave a comment, and you’ll be entered to win two free jars of salsa (one mild, one spicy), compliments of Remember Alamo Salsa! You have until April 23 to leave a comment. If you're the winner, I'll get them in the mail to you in time for Cinco de Mayo!

I hail from TX as well. Love me some good salsa. I also enjoy Tricuit crackers drizzled with olive oil and eaten with Swiss Cheese. I also love a whole wheat tortilla with peanut butter.

Besides the obvious chips and my salsa, I love apple slices dipped in peanut butter.

I'm a college student, so a "snack" consists of ANYTHING that has not already grown mold in my pantry and can be eaten on my way to class. My favorite snack in my pantry right now would be my Little Debbie Swiss Rolls, of course! But whenever I make my way down to the A-T-L, I CRAVE that salsa! By far the best I've every had!

Hmmmm....so many snacks and not enough time! I love sweet & salty combinations - so a good trail mix that has nuts, a cheese cracker (we can call it a goldfish even!) and some m&m's thrown in are always good in a hurry. We also do the peanut butter/apple thing. Another favorite is a Triscuit with some cream cheese and a slice of pepperoni....my BFF made that in college and it has stuck! But you can never go wrong with chips and salsa!
